Regardless of that fight being cherry-picked to make a point, it’s not surprising. It’s a fight with zero AoE healing, pure single-target healing, and mechanics that make Pain Suppression really good. Guardian Spirit is good too, but not as good as the Disc pure single-target toolkit. It’s also a fight tuned to be completed in average ilvl of around 385, so everyone who has killed heroic Baleroc so far is doing extreme spec-stacking to do so. For example, many guilds are using four healers, with two holy paladins and two disc priests and no one else. It’s also only been killed by a couple dozen guilds in the world on 25H.
The data on this one fight, this early on, is not really a useful point of comparison for any sort of broad class/spec balance.
